This book had me on the edge of my seat many times. It was a slow burn for how everything was going to play out. Not many authors know how to pull off a slow burn. Wait. Let me rephrase that. Not many authors know how to keep their readers hooked to the end when it comes to slow burns. But Catherine Steadman (in my opinion) did a great job of keeping me hooked. From the first page I took it that Erin killed her husband. I only thought that because she was talking about digging a grave for her husband. This was the first hook. Then, Erin (Catherine Steadman) decided to rewind three months to explain what happened from the beginning.
It turned out that she didn’t murder her husband. But Erins plan of getting the USB back to whoever wanted it went south quick. To be honest as Erin was doing interviews with prisoner’s that were about to be release soon, for her documentary. I…
