Day 3 & 4 update

I will start off by saying sorry for not posting an update in the last couple of days. I’ve been feeling a bit off. So far it seems that off feeling has passed. And while it has passed I figured it was time to give you an update on how day three and four went.

Day three was a little bumpy. It was a slow day at work and all I wanted to do was read. But I can’t since this week in the Artist Way is asking for a week of no reading. So, I watched some One Tree Hill. If it’s a show you haven’t watched before I recommend it. Season two is better than season one (just an fyi). That’s usually when I get really into the show and don’t want to turn it off. When I got home from work, which was an early day for me. So I was home by 1pm. I allowed myself to immerse myself in drawing in my sketch book. Which felt really good. I didn’t want to put it away when it was time to go to bed.

Day four was my really off day. Which is funny because I was off work that day. But it was a productive day. I got all my laundry caught up, additional cleaning done and I did some self-care. Which was needed for such an off day. I just let myself watch tv and took it slow when it came to cleaning. I know we live in a fast paced world. But living wasn’t designed to be lived in such a way. We really miss a lot of the small things when we’re rushing around. I’ve noticed that when I allow myself to just have a slow day, I tend to be more creative. I end up with all kinds of ideas that I find myself excited to do later. Which I also make sure to write them down too, so I don’t forget. Sometimes I end up using them for my artist dates.

Well that’s it for now. Thank you for reading! Do you ever have an off day? If so, what kind of self-care do you do? Let me know in the comments section down below.
